Imajo Ltd is a UK importer of hand made soft rag dolls and soft toys made in a factory in Sri Lanka.

Their factory operates to the principles of fair trade and they have a Company reprersentative at the factory most of the time. No children are employed and all the workers are paid fair wages. Supporting the local economy is something they strongly believe in. Most of the raw materials including the vibrant handloom fabrics are produced locally.

Amoung other benefits the staff recieve free transport to and from the factory, a canteen, paid annual and maternity leave and work a standard 44.5 hour week.

The Dolls product tags are sourced from Maximus (Pvt) Ltd based in Sri Lanka which supports the Millennium Elephant Foundation in Pinnawela, a home for elderly and disabled elephants

The management team at the Imajo factory in Sri Lanka are trustees in the Swim Lanka Charity. Swimlanka has reached and helped over 12,000 children from eight of the ten tsunami affected coastal districts.
